Nahal Oren and Ein Alon - a charming route in Carmel Park. Here are some key stations along the way:
š The monument in memory of those who perished in the Carmel fire disaster āis very impressive. There is a large balcony, and the statue looks like a flame of fire. There is an audio button, and you hear an explanation of what happened. There is an observation of the entire area. From there you descend on a black path to the parking lot of Kedumim Quarry.
š From there go down a green path towards Nahal Oren. The trail is beautiful. On the way there are observations, the stream is still flowing, and you can paddle your feet. In the end, you reach Ein Alon.
š Ein Alon Pool is a stunning spot - a rectangular spring pool with shade. A perfect spot for resting and drinking coffee. The water is clear. I have heard that there are reservations about the quality of the water but there are disagreements on the matter. We paddled our feet. Notice that the pool is not always filled with water.
